Revenue Cycle Management Specialist: Job Summary: The person who takes this position will be responsible for setting the direction that Company’s HIS must take to become a leader in revenue cycle management for both inpatient and outpatient services. A primary task is to provide instruction and knowledge about the revenue issues and processes in the healthcare environment to many levels of the organization, especially sales, product marketers, marketing communication account executives, implementation and support staff, and product development. As a content expert it is expected that the candidate will assist in the development of the messaging to the C levels of our current products. This person will be required to attend some of the workflow engineering engagements done by Company’s HIS, in addition to assisting with the review and analysis of UB/RA merged data with our customers on site. This, for now, is expected to be a minimum amount of time, but as more and more people license the RA and the UB it will be important to help them use data that monitors improvements in the revenue cycle both inpatient and outpatient. It is expected that this person will help design new products that will assist healthcare organizations in revenue cycle, all aspects of it. Candidate will help us with voice of customer as we conduct market research specific to revenue cycle. Asked to give presentations on the importance of workflow engineering and data and revenue cycle to customer meetings, WEBINARS, write articles and white papers, and become known as a national speaker in the industry. Education MBA in Healthcare Administration or finance or related fields. BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or CPA. CHFP or a FHFMA certified preferred. Experience Healthcare industry experience of 5-10 years. Knowledge of the revenue cycle required, as well as contract management and demonstrated knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid payment rules. Candidate must have had a position in a healthcare organization either as a manager or VP of Patient Financial Services, CFO, or Director of Patient Accounting for a minimum of five years. Experience at managing revenue cycle is essential. Experience at analyzing financial data is optimal. Must have knowledge of the UB92 billing requirements and remittance advice output. Excellent verbal and writing skills with an ability to stay focused and organized. Experience in setting educational objectives would be nice. Good public speaking skills.
